Cancelation Policy

Please notify us if you are going to miss a driving lesson.

Below are the methods by which you can reschedule a driving lesson.

1. We will reschedule a driving lesson lesson to another available time slot for you if you provide a written excuse from a licensed Medical Doctor. It must be signed by a licensed Medical Doctor. Any other signature (such as a doctor's assistant or nurse) is not acceptable. Also, the excuse must be hand written by the Doctor in his or her handwriting on the paper or form that he or she uses to write prescriptions. Virtual doctor office visits or "ZOOM" or "online" doctor office visits do not qualify.

2. We will reschedule a driving lesson to another available time slot for you if there is a DOCUMENTED death in the immediate family. Immediate family means a brother, sister, mother, father, son, daughter, or grandparent. Please provide the name and relationship of the deceased along with the funeral or burial arrangements.

3. We will reschedule a driving lesson to another available time slot for you if we are able to schedule another student in the same time slot in question (which is usually not possible with short notice). If we are not able to schedule another student in the same time slot in question then the canceled or postponed lesson shall be forfeited by the student.

LifeSaver Driving Academy will reschedule driving lessons that WE cancel due to weather.

Rain is not an acceptable reason to postpone a lesson. Students should learn to drive in rain.

Explanation of Cancelation Policy

This cancelation policy is the result of persons canceling driving lessons for unreasonable reasons. Cancelations would occur approxmately twice a week which translates to a loss in profit of over $1000 per month. Some of the reasons given for the cancelations were...., I forgot, or my alarm didn't go off, or I want to visit with my friend. Many times people would lie about a death or illness. Some did not care that the instructor would then loose his pay. The expenses involved with providing each driving lesson exist wether or not the student shows up. The instructor has to be paid wether or not the student shows up. Most reasonable people are understanding of this cancelation policy. At any University or High School, when you don't show up for a class you loose it. When you miss a class at a High School or University there is no refund or rescheduling done. Driving lessons provided by LifeSaver Driving Academy (a school) are just as important as classes in any other school. Driving lessons in many cases are more important than some school classes because something learned in a driving lesson could save someone's life or prevent an injury.
